As a group, Hispanics are expected to comprise almost 30% of the population by 2050, compared to 18% today. Revenue of Hispanic-owned companies jumped 61% from 2017 to 2020. We are a growing sector of the economy, and contribute to its overall strength, but in 2020, we are struggling mightily.
The opportunity gap between Hispanics and other business-owning counterparts is wide. If Hispanic owned businesses grow as fast as the U.S. average, they could add $1.4 trillion to the U.S. economy. This would add almost eight percent to the $18 trillion U.S. economy.
The missing ingredient in the Hispanic community is wealth. By growing our Hispanic businesses, we can add more wealth, increase consumption and grow the economy.
